Rozi Plain's idiosyncratic film is one of the most beautiful works of independent stop-frame animation in recent years. With a lullaby folk soundtrack and slight hippy sensibility, it is a reflection on love lost and found. An abstract cross-over between short film and music video, this expresses exactly the BOMB's sensibilities, at its most thoughtful. Shapes change, people change, shadows play against the walls. At ten minutes, it requires concentration; but concentration is richly rewarded. This is, we feel, one of the highlights of October, November, December and into the new year. If only more film was as light as this.
