Nick Scott’s beautiful, elegaic short was shot on black and white 8mm around Berlin. A montage of scenes, many taken from a bicycle, are accompanied by a voiceover from Charles Officer, who reflects on the power that films have, their ability to move us and connect us with strangers in ways we might not understand. Berlin plays an important backdrop: a city in which freedom of expression is paramount, a meeting place for lovers, strangers and the falling rain.
